The 11th International Conference of Museums for Peace is arranged by The House of Peace (Uppsala, Sweden) and the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP).
The House of Peace
The House of Peace is a peace museum and a non-profit organization that has been working in the spirit of Dag Hammarskjöld since 2006, focusing on peace, human rights and social sustainability. We do peace work at the grassroots level to promote equality, counter racism and intolerance and to train conflict management and active citizenship. We work with exhibitions, educational activities, theater, games and various digital tools. Our main target group is children and young people, and every year we meet over 20 000 students in schools all over Sweden.
The House of Peace has been a member of the INMP for many years and is honored to host the 11th International Conference of Museums for Peace.

International Network of Museums for Peace
The mission of the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) is to enable museums for peace and related organizations to resource, collaborate, and mutually support each other in their work for peace. INMP was created in 1992 during the first international conference of peace museums held in Bradford, England. The conference was arranged by the British Give Peace a Chance association, bringing together, for the first time, the management and staff of peace museums, anti-war museums and similar institutions worldwide. Over 30 representatives from 10 countries met up to exchange experiences and make a start on future cooperation. Nine more conferences have been held since this first encounter. Now it is time for the 11th to take place in Uppsala, Sweden in 2023.
Membership in the INMP is open to all museums for peace and related organizations and individuals interested in peace-building globally and locally. On our website you can learn more about INMP and how to become a member.
